Call to Action using Electronic Mail

We are exposed every day to a vast amount of advertising and marketing material, most of which we don't even remember. The multitude of advertisements and the variety of media in which they are presented cause us, the customers, to lose focus, while the advertisers miss their target – calling your customers into actions.

One of the most convenient, available and efficient means for this in the modern advertisement and marketing world is emarketing mail distribution, based on relevant databases that reach each customer within the emarketing list. The success of each emarketing campaign depends solely on the ability of the emarketing sender (the company or business that sent the message) to make the recipient of the message to also open it and act upon its content, meaning to instigate the recipients to take interest in your products or services immediately and even purchase them through Online or Offline means in the near future.

How to use emarketing in order to call clients to action?
Various researches regarding online-sales indicate an interesting finding: the purchasing action is performed only after several visits to the homepage of the marketed company, service or product (average of 5 visits before purchase is made). This data is supposed to be the basis of a very clear purpose that should be set by website owners who practice emarketing : to turn their homepage into a “pilgrimage” center among potential clients. You can do that by sending emarketing messages that drive your clients into action, to surf to your website, sign up to your emarketing list, expose themselves to relevant products offers on your web pages, and eventually – to purchase products and/or services through your homepage.
In order to obtain all that, you should consider several professional factors that will allow you to improve your ability to drive your clients and emarketing recipients into action. This process is called CTA – Call-To-Action – and it is based on the following principals:
  • Each CTA must include a single, central, clear advertising-marketing message. Your ability to summarize the emarketing messages sent  to a single, calling-to-action marketing message will directly increase the call-to-action capability among its recipients.
  • The properties of the emarketing messages you send must correlate with the characteristics of your target audiences. The emarketing message content, design and general appearance must be identified with the company or product you wish to promote. Today you can find a wide variety of emarketing lists and systems categorized based on clear and specific definitions of the target audiences interested in various products and services.
  • A CTA must be done using very clear links within the emarketing that hyperlink the recipient directly to your company’s homepage. These hyperlinks will be embedded in such texts as “receive the coupon”/ “receive the product for free”/ “join our members club”/ “purchase the product under special conditions”/ “locate the branch closest to you”, etc. These links, as well as others, must be highlighted and with a dominant presence within the body of the message you are emailing, all relative to the other elements displayed in the message.
  • A creative opening line – every emarketing message is displayed showing the first few words from the body of the message in the subject line. This is why you have to be really creative when composing these first words, in order to instigate your clients and recipients into opening the message.
  • Don’t make yourselves annoying – it’s important to use emarketing only when you actually have some innovative, revolutionary, or cost-effective product or service to offer. Frequent emails that send general messages will wear out your clients, making them tired of your products and services over time.
The emarketing method is indeed a convenient, available and relatively cheap (compared to other advertisement activities) advertisement and marketing media, if you do it properly and according to clear definitions set by the sender and directed into calling his/her recipients into action. This is where you should show up your creative side and form your own an emarketing  system that will be effective, inspiring and most of all – calling your clients into action and thus increasing your income.
